GOD SAVE THE QUENE. The places of worship fur the different religious sects, are as follow, for the Methodists, a noble structure in Northgatc street, Primitive Methodists, in Chapel-street, Croft, and Catholics, in Well's Town, a Congregation of Baptists meet in Mr. Bell's School Room, Darlington-street. In the same street is a spacious building used by the Presbyterians. The Independents, or Congregationalists, have a handsome Chapel erected in Darlington Place, facing the sea, which was opened on the second of April, with great ceremony. There is no Quaker's Meeting House here, but they sometimes have Public Worship, in the Wesleyan Chapel, in the summer months. A Bethel for sailors, is held in a Large Room on the Victoria Dock, every Sunday afternoon. Parties of all denominations attend. THE NATIONAL SCHOOLS Are situate in Wells Town, close to the Catholic Chapel, and are for the education of boys and girls. There are many excellent Boarding and Day Schools, and a number of Sunday Schools under the direction of different denominations of christians. THE GAS HOUSE Is situate at the north end of Northgate street, its proprietor is Mr. James A. West, of Durham, the foreman, John Whitworth, is a very civil obliging...
